What is Ya Can't Make This Up?

Ya Can’t Make This Up: True Story Slam is a monthly Moth-style story-telling slam based in East Haven, Connecticut.

The slam is held on the third Friday of each month at Transilvania Restaurant and Bar in East Haven.

A monthly prize is awarded to best storyteller, and after one year, a Grand Slam Event is held with a Grand Slam Prize awarded.

Produced and moderated by Jeff Weinman, Ya Can’t Make This Up is an opportunity for local storytellers and those who enjoy a creative group experience to participate with their individual stories, collaborate with constructive feedback, sharpen storytelling skills, or just have a good time listening, laughing, and enjoying the experience in the audience.
